Survey and Quote
Owner-led site or sample survey, material check and clear written quote that lists survey, proofs, carving and basic fixings.
Design Proofs
Digital layout and font options supplied for approval, with recommended letter depth and finish to suit the stone and location.
Carve, Finish and Fit
Hand or machine cutting, sympathetic finishing of letter edges, final pointing and either collection, nationwide delivery or on-site installation.

Reclaimed and new stone options
Regularly changing reclaimed stock and sourced new Yorkshire stone allow authentic patina or freshly cut signage to suit each brief.
Materials and finishes: Lettering can be cut into reclaimed sandstone, reclaimed limestone or new Yorkshire quarried stone. We select stones with the right bedding and weathering for letters to read clearly at the intended viewing distance. Options include hand-chiselled lettering for a traditional appearance or fine machine-cut letters for crisp modern signage. Letter depth, serif or sans serif fonts and background tooling are chosen to suit conservation guidance or a contemporary aesthetic.
Delivery and installation: Finished panels are available for collection from our Holmfirth yard or nationwide delivery. For on-site commissions we provide secure fixing details and sympathetic pointing for brick, stone or lime mortar walls.
