Why choose reclaimed Welsh sandstone: Welsh sandstone is prized for its hardwearing surface and rich, natural tones that sit well alongside West Yorkshire stone. We stock multiple profiles suitable for square face toppings, half round copings and paving. Each batch is checked for frost resistance, previous use and edge integrity before cutting.
Our service: At our Cartworth Moor Road yard in Holmfirth we process stone with tracked saws, hydraulic splitters and a telehandler for safe handling. FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Welsh sandstone is generally hardwearing and performs well in wet, exposed conditions when properly bedded and pointed. We inspect pieces for frost damage and only supply material suitable for external use. For exposed parapets and copings we recommend appropriate bedding and compressible pointing to allow movement.
